U2 Travelguide » Dublin » East Link Bridge & Grand Canal Docks & U2 Tower

This draw-bridge is featured in the Pride (In The Name Of Love) (Version 1) video. It is the last bridge crossing the Liffey at the cityís border and connects Grand Canal Docks in the south with The Point Depot Theatre in the north.

U2 had many photo shoots around the Grand Canal Docks. The album cover for ''October' is a photo taken in this area, and some more pictures in front of the docks were taken for the booklet accompanying 'The Best of 1990-2000'.

Across the postion of the sign 'Grand Canal Docks' there will rise a new historic U2 place in Dublin: This is the site of the new "U2 Tower", where U2 will move their studio to. Of course in the Penthouse - where else?

But in 2012 still no building actions for the U2 tower can be seen here....

Dublinkarte Nr. 7 | From the city centre walk east along the riverís north bank to the Point Depot, where you will find East Link Bridge (approximately 25-30 minutes by foot from OíConnell St.). To access it from the south just head east from Hanover Quay Studios.
