In einem Interview mit der englischen Tageszeitung "The Sun" hat Bono über die Elevation Tour 2001 und über mögliche Konzerte im Jahr 2002 gesprochen. Konkret spricht er von einer kleinen Tour die maximal ein paar Wochen dauern soll. Hier ein Auszug aus dem Gespräch: "We felt we neglected Europe a bit. We played one concert in Spain and one in France and we feel we might not have been fair to Europe, so we might go back next year and we want to go back to Sarajevo. [...] It would just be a bit of fun for a few weeks, not a long tour. [...] We have to keep recording. There could be another album soon — we’re in the studio this week.
