currently the new video of the Slane Castle performance (sept. 1, 2001) is screened worldwide on TV.
This 50 minute special contains 9 fantastic live versions. Set in the spectacular atmosphere of Slane Castle and crwoned
with enthusaistic crowd of fans, it is indeed a very special experience for any tv spectator.

Nevertheless thousands of U2 fans worldwide keep aksing the same question: "Why don`t we get to see more?"
"Why not the whole show?" "Why not releasing another Live-CD?" and "Why not releasing the whole concert on DVD?"
|
|
In contrast to a lot of other bands, U2 have so far never(!) released a complete concert on CD or DVD.
Why not? U2 are the biggest live band in the world - and its time to prove this to the public with a remarkable document.

We therefore kindly ask U2, the management and the record company to release this breathtaking Slane concert on CD and DVD.
With my signature and the above stated reasons I aks for a release.
We, U2 fans form all over the world, deserve it!

Reasons for a release of the Slane Castle Concert:

U2 have not yet released one complete live-show on cd. Even "Under a blood red sky" was cut together from 3 different shows
|
|
Even the ZooTV video from Sydney lacks one song ('Tryin' to throw your arms around the world') - a decent release on CD or DVD is lacking completely.

|
Mexico was only released to a handful of fans - and again it was only half the show. And what about a DVD-release?
|
|
Slane was recorded in top quality using fantsatic equipment (e.g. SpinCams) - the material is existing.

Even the fantsatic Boston show, which was released on DVD, is not complete
