vor Ort, unter ihnen Daniel Lanois, Wim Wenders und Anton Corbijn, sowie mit Sam O'Sullivan, Dallas Schoo und weiteren ein Teil von U2's Crew. Vor der Vorführung spielten U2 außerdem auf dem roten Teppich vor dem Palais Des Festivals zwei Songs: Vertigo und Where The Streets Have No Name (Tourarchiv ). Aufgrund einer Verspätung des Flugzeugs musste aber wohl die Setlist gekürzt werden.

erfährt Dallas durch Daniel Lanois, dass The Edge einen Gitarrentechniker für die Joshua Tree Tour sucht. Für Daniel hat Dallas zuvor eine seiner Gitarren wieder auf Vordermann bringen können. Daraufhin fliegt Dallas nach Dublin und hat ein mehrstündiges Vorstellungsgespräch mit U2 und Paul McGuinness. Am nächsten Morgen muss er eigentlich in die USA zurückfliegen, doch Dennis Sheehan ruft ihn an und teilt ihm mit, The Edge wolle ihn engagieren. Dallas, der eigentlich noch anderweitig... Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois, and were then completed here. Also the final version of 'The Joshua Tree ' was recorded in Windmill Lane as well as Dublin’s 'STS Studios '.
In 1989 the Windmill Lane Recording Studios moved to Ringsend Road . Today there are new studios in the building again, with the confusingly similar name Windmill Lane Studios. It is now mainly used for TV and other multimedia projects, though.
